To check how well the gutter mesh works, first wet the mesh completely. Then, spray water on your roof like it’s raining and watch if the water flows through the mesh into the gutter. Next, place a lot of wet leaves, pine needles, and some dirt on the mesh. Pour a lot of water over it to see how well the mesh lets water through and keeps the debris out.
